From Franz Schubert to Canadian composer Denis Gougeon, the music on this CD allows us to enter a poetic universe dominated by the impulses of the heart united with the beauty of nature. In the Baroque period, the meeting of the horn and the voice generally took place in opera, and rhymed with hunting scenes. During the Romantic period, composers and poets praised its virtues, so it was normal for melodists to be attracted by the richness of an original sound combination, both intimate and picturesque.
