AVID Jazz here presents four classic Nat Adderley albums including original LP liner notes on a finely re-mastered and low priced double CD.
“That’s Nat”, “Introducing Nat Adderley”, “To The Ivy League” and “Much Brass”
Step up to the plate Nat Adderley, perhaps unfairly overshadowed by older brother Julian “Cannonball” Adderley (AMSC1022)…………this is his time!! Our first album “That’s Nat” features an exciting, swinging set where Nat is joined by Jerome Richardson on tenor and flute, Kenny Clarke on drums, Hank Jones on piano and Wendell Marshall on bass. For “Introducing Nat Adderley” Nat is joined by big brother Julian “Cannonball” Adderley on alto sax, Horace Silver on piano, Roy Haynes on drums and Paul Chambers on bass- that’s some line up folks!! All but one selection was written by the Adderley brothers. The brothers are together again for “To The Ivy League”, albeit with a different line up comprised of the musicians that had been currently playing the clubs prior to the recording. Joining Nat and “Cannonball” are Junior Mance on piano, Charles Wright on drums, Sam Jones on bass with Al McKibbon taking over the bass duties on four numbers. For “Much Brass” Nat has assembled a Septet featuring as the title suggests a “striking three brass blend of cornet, trombone and tuba. On cornet, Nat himself of course, on trombone “Slide” Hampton while Layman Jackson takes up the tuba. Completing the Septet is Wynton Kelly on piano (from Miles’ band) Sam Jones on bass and Albert Heath on drums.
All four albums plus have been digitally re-mastered for probably the finest ever sound quality!

Our policy is valid for 30 days. If you haven't received your product within 30 days, we're not able to issue either a return or exchange.
You are able to return a product if it is unused and in the same condition when you received it. It must also still remain in the original packaging.
