His works, in the repertoire of such prestigious orchestras as the Orchestre de Paris, New York Philharmonic and the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra of Saint Petersburg, are defended by personalities such as Valery Gergiev, Alan Gilbert, Lisa Batiashvili, Renaud and Gautier Capuon, and Olivier Latry. The winner of, amongst others, three ‘Victoires de la musique’ awards, his career as a creator is indissociable from his activity as an organist, having become one of the principal ambassadors of the French improvisation school throughout the world. Maurice Durufl’s successor at the organ of the Church of Saint-tienne-du-Mont, in Paris, he places great importance on transmission in the framework of his teaching writing and improvisation at the Paris Conservatoire, where he has been a professor since 1992.
