The Beethoven Cycle of the 21st century!
A new reference recording of the complete Beethoven symphonies with Christian Thielemann and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. The live recordings were made in concert in the Goldener Saal of the Vienna Musikverein between 2008 and 2010. The ideal artistic harmony between conductor and orchestra elicited frenzied applause from the audience, and enthusiastic reviews from the music critics. The audiovisual document is already available on 3 DVDs and BluRays (C-Major/Unitel).
Now, Sony Classical is releasing the entire cycle together with a bonus DVD in a high-quality, deluxe limited CD edition.
