On 9 discs the complete solo concertos by Johann Sebastian Bach have been recorded, including the rarer concertos for one, two, three and four harpsichords. Two of the CD’s included in this extensive set contain concerto reconstructions. Frequently, Bach’s compositions were lost, and the resulting reconstructions are made by present day musicologists. All of the fine musicians on this album perform on period instruments.
