Seduced by the colors and the vivacity of Italian music, Bach took great pleasure in transcribing concertos by Vivaldi, Marcello and Torelli before composing one of his own invention. More than fifteen years ago now, Alexandre Tharaud offered us a sunny, exhilarating interpretation of these famous pieces. This reissue from harmonai mundi is a welcome return to the catalog.
